In brief

The Mashiko Pottery Fair has been held since 1966 in the pottery town of Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, twice a year: in spring during Golden Week and in autumn around 3 November. About 50 shops and more than 800 tents host emerging makers, well-known artists and craftspeople from local kilns, who sell their work directly. The autumn 2026 fair is the 114th.
