In short
The Académie Internationale de Coupe de Paris (AICP), on boulevard du Général Martial Valin in the 15th arrondissement, is a private technical higher-education school that trains mainly garment pattern makers; the site dates its teaching back to 1830. It teaches its own pattern-making method, the Vauclair-Darroux method, through full-time and work-study courses: a preparatory course in pattern making, the one-year Modéliste international du vêtement programme (also in a menswear version) and the Modéliste créateur en bureau d'études programme, with flat pattern cutting, draping, prototyping, grading and CAD. It also offers short courses and continuing education for companies.
