Accademia Costume & Moda is an independent fashion and costume school founded in Rome in 1964 by Rosana Pistolese and still run by her family. It offers bachelor's and master's degrees, master courses, specialisation and executive courses in fashion and costume design, communication and business; programmes include costume and fashion, pattern-making, tailoring and prototyping for fashion and costume, haute couture fashion design, accessory design, creative knitwear, menswear, the costume designer's craft and fabric innovation, often through industry projects with fashion houses and manufacturers. It has two sites in Rome, a campus in Milan and a teaching presence in the knitwear district of San Martino in Rio.
