The Accademia di Belle Arti dell'Aquila (ABAQ) is a state academy of fine arts in L'Aquila that awards first- and second-level academic diplomas. Alongside painting, sculpture, decoration, set design, photography, comics and graphics, it offers three- and two-year courses in fashion and costume, preparing for work in fashion companies and stage costume. It also runs a five-year single-cycle course in restoration with two profiles: stone materials and decorated architectural surfaces, and painted works on wood and textile supports, carved wood and painted synthetic objects.
