In short

Accademia Italiana is a school of art, fashion and design founded in 1984, with sites in Florence and Rome. It awards first- and second-level academic diplomas recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, equivalent to bachelor's and master's degrees, and also runs one-year professional courses, master courses and summer courses in fashion, interior and product design, jewellery design, graphics and photography. The fashion department, in Florence and Rome, has tailoring, pattern-making and knitwear workshops; the jewellery design department, in Rome only, has goldsmith benches and equipment for making and prototyping jewellery. The main Florence site is in Piazza Pitti, with workshops in Palazzo Bargagli on the Lungarno delle Grazie.
