In short

The Accademia Nazionale dei Sartori is an association of the Italian tailoring sector based in Rome, which traces its origins to the Antica Università dei Sartori founded in 1575 at the urging of Pope Gregory XIII. With the stated aim of training the master tailors of the future, it runs courses for young tailors taught by its master tailors, including three-month schools of men's and women's pattern making and a course in frame embroidery with beads and sequins. It also runs a tailoring project with inmates of Rebibbia prison.
