In short

The Adirondack Folk School is a non-profit school in Lake Luzerne, New York, that teaches the arts, crafts and traditions of the Adirondack region through short courses. It held its first class on 5 June 2010 in a historic building that had been an Odd Fellows lodge, an elementary school and the town hall. Course areas include woodworking, rustic furniture, woodcarving and woodturning, boats and paddles, blacksmithing, basketry, fiber arts, ceramics, glass and jewelry; the school states that its pavilion houses a blacksmithing programme, and it also uses a weaving and woodworking studio in Lake George.
