The Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), founded in 1978, is a gemmology school and gem laboratory on the 48th floor of the Jewelry Trade Center, Silom Road, in Bangkok's jewellery district. It provides professional training for the gem and jewellery trade, with courses in gemstone identification, grading and pricing, diamond grading and short courses, using the school's collection of gemstones for practice. The institute also issues reports on coloured stones and diamonds.
