The Akademie für Gestaltung is the design school of the Münster Chamber of Crafts and its training centre HBZ, where craftspeople learn to design on the basis of their trade training. It offers full-time advanced vocational courses of one and a half or three years, with state-recognised qualifications: Gestalter/in im Handwerk, Designer/in (HWK) and Designer/in (HWK) combined with the master craftsman title. It also runs workshops for vocational schools, practical projects with businesses and yearly exhibitions of graduate work.
