The Faculty of Fine Arts of Akdeniz University is on the university campus in Antalya. Its Ceramics Department, teaching since 1999-2000, covers artistic and industrial ceramics in ceramic design, clay and plaster, technical decoration and glass workshops; the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, since 2010-2011, works on carpets, kilims, fabrics, tiles, ceramics, illumination, miniature and calligraphy and has held a carpet design, weaving and natural-dye workshop. The Textile and Fashion Design Department, admitting students since 2017-2018, teaches weaving, print and fashion design; the faculty also has departments for the conservation and restoration of cultural property and for stage sets and costumes.
