The Serik Gülsün-Süleyman Süral Vocational School of Akdeniz University is in Serik, in Antalya province on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. It was founded as Serik Vocational School by a decision of the Council of Higher Education in 2001, began teaching in 2002-2003 with design programmes, and has carried its present name since 2013-2014. Its two-year Fashion Design programme trains assistant designers and technicians for the textile, ready-to-wear and fashion sectors, and the school notes openings in costume work for theatres and for hotel entertainment shows in the region. The Traditional Handicrafts programme, also two years, covers the documentation, care, repair and faithful reproduction of works in various craft disciplines.
