Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) in Calgary is a university dedicated to art, craft and design, which states it has shaped visual culture for 100 years. Its Jewellery and Metals programme teaches fabrication, casting, stone setting, enamelling, etching, filigree, hollowware and CAD modelling, together with packaging, marketing and sales, and students take part in pop-up shops and craft fairs. The university also has programme areas in Ceramics, Glass and Fibre, and a minor in Object Design and Fabrication.
