In short
Ammattiopisto Luovi is a special-needs vocational college for students who need demanding special support, operating in almost 30 localities across Finland. In Oulu it began, on 1 January 2025, the cabinetmaking artisan programme leading to the vocational qualification in crafts and design: the artisan makes and repairs wooden products with a variety of methods, materials and tools, with attention to design, aesthetics and sustainability. Studies are planned individually and can take place in Luovi's own learning environments and at workplaces; the product-making artisan programme is being run out until 2027 without new admissions.
