In short

The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw continues the tradition of the Warsaw School of Fine Arts, founded in 1904; it has been a state higher school since 1923 and an academy since 1932, and its seat has been the Czapski Palace on Krakowskie Przedmieście since 1947. Its faculties include Design, which has a fashion department, Interior Architecture, which covers interiors, furniture and exhibitions, and Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art, alongside painting, sculpture, graphic arts, stage design and media art.
