In short

Axevalla folkhögskola is a folk high school in Axvall, in Skaraborg, housed in old garrison buildings; the school states that it started in 1873 as Skaraborg County's folk high school in Ullervad, moved to Axvall in 1923, and has been owned by the Sweden Finnish association Sverigefinska riksförbundet since 1982. Its one-year Fashion Design course (Modedesign) gives a broad base in design, materials, pattern construction and sewing, from skirts, shirts and trousers to outerwear and festive garments, with a strong focus on craft in the making process. The course includes two weeks of work placement, study visits to companies and an Erasmus+ study trip to Portugal.
