Bâtiment CFA Bourgogne-Franche-Comté – site de Besançon

In short

Bâtiment CFA Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is the regional network of apprenticeship centres for the building trades, with training sites in Autun, Auxerre, Besançon (with an annex in Bethoncourt), Dijon and Marzy; it says it has been training building professionals, apprentices and adults retraining for more than fifty years. Its Besançon site, at 6 rue Nicolaus Mercator, runs the CAP in cabinetmaking over two or three years as an apprenticeship, alternating one week at the centre and three in a firm. The course covers reading furniture drawings, machining, veneering and book-matching, assembly and finishing, as well as the history of furniture and applied arts; the network also teaches joinery, carpentry, masonry, metalwork and electrical trades.
