In short
The École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille is a public school of higher education in art and design approved by the ministry of culture, part of Campus art Méditerranée; it was founded by the city's artists in 1752 and has been at Luminy, on the edge of the Calanques national park, since 1968. From the second year students choose the art or design option; the design option, leading to the DNA and then the DNSEP, trains designers of objects, services and spaces. Its technical workshops include a design base for models and prototypes, a fab lab, and wood, metal and ceramics workshops.
