In short

The Belarusian State Academy of Arts in Minsk traces its history to the Belarusian State Theatre Institute established in 1945. Its Faculty of Design and Decorative and Applied Arts teaches decorative and applied art with specialisations in artistic ceramics, metal, glass and textiles, as well as costume design, and industrial design including furniture design, with model-making and joinery workshops. Students carry out practical training and diploma work at glass, crystal, porcelain and ceramics factories.
