Blanche Macdonald Centre is a private college in Vancouver whose origins go back to the modelling school that Blanche Brillon Macdonald founded in 1960; today it teaches fashion, makeup, hair and nails on three campuses in the city. Its one-year Fashion Design diploma (four semesters, 22 subjects) covers design fundamentals, textiles, four parts of pattern making and of industrial and couture garment construction. Each student realises three looks for the Graduate Fashion Show.
