In short
BTP CFA Centre-Val de Loire is the regional network of apprenticeship centres for the building trades, with campuses in Chartres, Châteauroux, Tours/Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Blois and Orléans. Its Blois campus, at 34 rue Bernard Darada, prepares the CAP in art metalwork (ferronnier d'art), a two-year, 840-hour apprenticeship alternating one week at the centre and two in a firm. The course covers analysis and preparation of a piece, forging and fabrication, fitting and installation, and the history of decorative ironwork and applied arts; the network also teaches masonry, carpentry, joinery, metalwork, electrical and finishing trades.
