In short

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology was set up in March 2012 under Bangladesh's Private Universities Act of 2010 to train people for the ready-made garment, textile and allied industries. Its Faculty of Fashion Studies offers a BSc and an MSc in Fashion Design & Technology, taught in English, alongside faculties of apparel studies and textile engineering that include a department of knitwear engineering. The campus is at Nishatnagar, Turag, on the west side of Uttara in Dhaka.
