The Department of Art and Art History of California State University, Chico, teaches art education, art history, studio art and interior architecture. The studio art option, leading to a BA or BFA in Art, has eight concentrations, including ceramics and glass design; the glass lab in the Arts and Humanities building is equipped for hot glass, casting, kiln forming and cold working, and the department also has woodshop, metal shop and foundry facilities.
