In short
The Cégep de Lanaudière à Terrebonne, on boulevard des Entreprises, offers the college diploma (DEC) in product design techniques, which trains industrial designers able to draw, model and present industrial products. Students learn to develop a product with regard to users, technical constraints, environmental standards and market trends, to communicate ideas by hand drawing and computer, and to work with processes for wood, metal, plastics and composites. The programme ends with a capstone project in the sixth session in collaboration with a manufacturer, and students can do paid work at the cégep's industrial design research centre, INÉDI.
