In short
The Afpa centre in Rochefort, at 57 avenue Bernadotte, is a site of Afpa, the French national adult vocational training agency. Among its courses it offers the professional title of boat builder and fitter in wood and composites (constructeur aménageur nautique bois et composites, level 3), in the centre or as a work-study contract: trainees learn to make and restore wooden and glass-fibre/polyester parts for sailing and motor pleasure boats and to install on-board fittings and deck hardware. The centre also offers a course for multi-process composite laminators, alongside trades in building, public works and commerce.
