In short
The Centre de céramique Bonsecours in Old Montreal, established in 1971, is a place of training, research, creation and exhibition for contemporary ceramics. Since 1998 it has delivered the studio training of the college diploma (DEC 573.AA) in Techniques de métiers d'art, ceramics option, in collaboration with the Cégep du Vieux Montréal: students learn to design, make and fire original pieces and collections in small groups taught by established craftspeople, with management courses for running an independent studio. The centre also runs advanced workshops for professional ceramists and a gallery of contemporary ceramics.
