In short
The applied arts school of the Centre d'enseignement professionnel de Vevey (CEPV) has three departments: ceramics, exhibition design (expographie) and photography, each with an initial training leading to the federal VET certificate and a higher-school diploma. In ceramics it offers the full-time ceramicist apprenticeship, theory courses for ceramicists apprenticed in companies, complementary training and a two-year higher course; the higher-school label was granted to ceramics after photography (2002) and visual merchandising (2009). The school's applied arts grew out of the Swiss School of Ceramics of Chavannes-près-Renens and the decoration and photography schools of Vevey. Its dual craft training also teaches leather and textile artisans and upholsterers; the main address is Avenue Nestlé 1 in Vevey, with a second site in Ecublens.
