In short

The Cerfav (European centre for research and training in the glass arts) was created in 1991 in Vannes-le-Châtel and combines a training centre, a technology resource centre for glass and a cultural centre with a gallery-workshop. Its apprenticeship centre states that it is the only one in France to offer all four CAP courses in glass, including glass arts and techniques and glass and crystal arts, taught over two years. It also runs two-year professional courses such as «créateur verrier» (glass designer-maker), short glass courses, and industrial training for the glass sector.
