In short
Changins, at Route du Duillier 52 in Nyon, trains professionals of the vine, wine, fruit and fermented beverages through three schools: a university of applied sciences offering the Bachelor of Science in Viticulture and Oenology and a Master's orientation in viticulture and oenology, a higher school for viticulture and oenology technicians, and a wine school with courses for amateurs and professionals and preparation for the federal sommelier certificate. It was founded in 1948 by the French-speaking cantons, Bern and Ticino, started in Montagibert near Lausanne and moved to the Changins site, alongside the Agroscope research station, in 1975. It has a teaching winery and sensory analysis facilities.
