In short

The Department of Textile Engineering of Chinese Culture University is on the university's Yangmingshan campus in Shilin District, Taipei. It grew out of a sericulture department opened in 1975, which became the Department of Textile Engineering in 1985. It teaches the principles and practice of textile engineering through laboratory and practical courses, factory internships and a maker centre, preparing students for the textile and apparel industry.
