In short

The Cité scolaire René Pellet is a regional school adapted for visually impaired pupils (EREA-DV) at 32 rue de France in Villeurbanne, combining a primary school, a collège, a vocational lycée, a BTS course and a boarding house with medical and social support. Part of its vocational lycée holds the label «lycée des métiers d'arts»: it runs a CAP class in basketry, documented on the site with work such as woven hats and willow lanterns, alongside courses in horticulture, landscaping and tertiary trades. The school's history page traces its origins to a private institute for deaf and blind children founded in Lyon in the 19th century.
