In short
The Lille house of Les Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France, at 118 rue de Babylone in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, is the association's regional seat for Hauts-de-France and combines a Compagnons' house, an apprenticeship training centre (CFA) and a branch office. The association trains young people in trades through work-study, alternating periods at the centre with work in a company. According to the association's course pages, the Lille house prepares the CAP in cabinetmaking, in two years after secondary school or in one year for adults aged 25 and over; the course covers designing solid furniture, veneering, machining, assembly and finishing.
