The Grenoble-Échirolles training centre and apprentice college (CFA) of the Compagnons du Tour de France trains young people from the age of 15, adults retraining and employees in building and wood trades, through work-study or continuing education. Its cabinetmaking programme covers the making and restoration of furniture, veneering, marquetry and varnishing, with a CAP and a BMA in cabinetmaking. After a first diploma, learners can set out on the compagnons' Tour de France, working in a different city each year. The CFA is in Échirolles, with an adult training site in Grenoble.
