In short
Conestoga College trains woodworkers at its Kitchener – Doon campus, in the Woodworking Centre of Ontario. The two-year Woodworking Technician diploma covers the set-up and operation of woodworking machinery, laminating, veneering, machining, sanding, assembly and finishing, then project work and the manufacture of furniture, kitchen cabinets and architectural millwork; it embeds levels 1 to 3 of the in-school training for the Ontario cabinetmaker apprenticeship and has an optional co-op term. A three-year Woodworking Technology advanced diploma adds plant layout, quality control, cost estimating and computer-aided drafting, but was not accepting applications when checked.
