Design Academy Eindhoven is a Dutch university of the arts specialising in design, part of the Dutch universities of applied sciences, which says it has trained designers for over 70 years. It offers a foundation year, a four-year bachelor's programme built on fundamentals, studios and reflection, with eight studios led by practising designers, and master's programmes including Contextual Design, Geo-Design, Information Design and Social Design. Learning through making is part of its approach, with workshops for wood, metal, plastics, ceramics, textiles, silkscreen printing and digital fabrication in the former Philips building known as the White Lady in central Eindhoven.
