The Kolleg/Aufbaulehrgang für Design is a private school of WIFI Niederösterreich, the training institute of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, on the creative campus in St. Pölten. Its roughly two-year full-time course covers product design and interior design side by side, with an emphasis on sustainable product development, a compulsory internship and a diploma project with a company partner; students use workshops and 3D labs with laser cutters and 3D printers. According to the school, it was founded in 1989/90 in Pöchlarn on behalf of the Lower Austrian carpenters' guild as the «Kolleg für Möbeldesign» and moved to St. Pölten in 2000.
