The Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode | Designschule München is a campus of the City of Munich that brings together four specialised schools for fashion and communication design in two historic buildings in the city centre, with no tuition fees. In fashion it offers a fashion design training, a two-year full-time school for pattern making (Modellistik) with an optional master craftsman examination in bespoke tailoring, a school for pattern cutting and design, and vocational schooling for apprentice tailors, milliners and textile and fashion sewers. The school states that it has taught craft and design since 1931.
