In short

The École de joaillerie de Montréal is a non-profit jewellery school in Montreal whose origins go back to the first jewellery school in Quebec, opened in the 1970s by Madeleine Dansereau and Armand Brochard. Since 1989 it has taught the jewellery option of the college-level craft techniques programme (DEC) in partnership with the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. It also offers a basic jewellery techniques programme in seven levels that can extend over more than three years, a full programme in lapidary art, advanced courses and one-day workshops, and rents bench space and equipment to jewellers.
