The École Hermès des savoir-faire de la Vallée de l'Orne, in Giberville near Caen, is one of the training schools that Hermès runs inside its leather-goods workshops; it opened in 2026 to train the craftspeople of a new leather-goods manufacture planned in the Calvados. Approved by the French education ministry, the Hermès schools prepare a CAP in saddlery and leather goods or professional certificates as leather-goods stitcher or cutter, taught by Hermès craftspeople. They take apprentices of all backgrounds, young people or adults retraining.
