In short

The École Hermès des savoir-faire at Pierre-Bénite, near Lyon, trains the future craftspeople of the Hermès leather-goods manufacture there, which opened in 1989 as the house's first leather-goods site outside Paris, close to its silk division. Approved by the French education ministry, the Hermès schools prepare a CAP in saddlery and leather goods or professional certificates as leather-goods stitcher or cutter, taught inside the workshops by Hermès craftspeople. They take apprentices of all backgrounds, young people or adults retraining.
