The École Hermès des savoir-faire trains people of all backgrounds, young people or adults changing career, in the leather trades within the house's manufactures, with artisans as trainers. In the Alpes hub, the school at Fitilieu (Les Abrets-en-Dauphiné) trains the future artisans of the hub's leather workshops in Aix-les-Bains, Belley and Les Abrets. The site states that the Fitilieu school has paid particular attention to learners with disabilities since 2017 and became the first site of the École Hermès des savoir-faire in 2021. Training includes a CAP Maroquinerie in a one-year work-study contract, after a preparatory period, as well as courses for leather cutters and machine stitchers.
