In short
The École Hermès des savoir-faire trains leatherworking artisans inside the maison's own manufactures, where the teaching is given by artisans working on the production sites. In the Ardennes pole, the Val de Vence school trains future artisans for the Hermès leather workshops at Bogny-sur-Meuse, in place since 2001, and on the Sormonne at Tournes and Cliron, opened in 2023. Courses lead to state-recognised qualifications: the saddler-leatherworker path combines six months of trade preparation with a one-year CAP Maroquinerie in work-study, and the school also trains cutters and leather stitchers. Training costs are not borne by the learners.
