In short
École Lesage is the embroidery school of the Maison Lesage, the haute couture embroidery house that grew out of the Michonet workshop founded in 1858 and joined CHANEL's Métiers d'art in 2002. François Lesage founded the school in 1992 to pass on the techniques of haute couture embroidery. It teaches needle and Lunéville-hook embroidery to beginners and experienced embroiderers, from short discovery courses to advanced levels and two 150-hour specialisations, in haute couture embroidery and in interior decoration embroidery, which aim at a professional level; it also runs workshops for groups. The school is at 2 place Skanderbeg in Paris's 19th arrondissement, at le19M, the CHANEL site for its Métiers d'art.
