In short
ENSCI-Les Ateliers, the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle, was founded in 1982 and describes itself as the only public school in France entirely devoted to industrial design. It awards two master's-level diplomas, in industrial design and in textile design, the latter exploring weaving, knitting and braiding alongside techniques such as 3D printing and laser cutting; it also offers a doctorate in design with ENS Paris-Saclay and specialised master's programmes in continuing education. Under the supervision of the ministries of Culture and Industry, it occupies the former workshops of the decorator Jansen at 48 rue Saint-Sabin, in Paris's 11th arrondissement.
