In short

The École supérieure d'art d'Avignon (ESAA) is a public art school under the French Ministry of Culture, supported mainly by the City of Avignon and by the State. It prepares the national diplomas DNA (bachelor level, three years) and DNSEP (master level, two more years), with two tracks after a common first year: Creation and Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Property. The conservation-restoration track trains students to conserve and restore composite objects, especially contemporary works of art and ethnographic objects; the school says it is one of the four national conservation-restoration programmes approved by the Direction des Musées de France, alongside the INP, TALM and Paris 1 University.
