In short

Edelviks folkhögskola is a folk high school on the Edelvik estate by Lake Burträsket, in inland Västerbotten; the school states that it started in 1941 and has been run by the Church of Sweden's Diocese of Luleå ever since. Its Wood Craft course (Trähantverk) teaches working wood with knife, axe and other traditional hand tools, wood properties, traditional joints, sharpening and surface finishes. The one-year Art and Crafts course (Konst & konsthantverk), with a possible second year, has three main subjects, image, textiles and ceramics, including carding, felting and spinning wool, preparing flax and plant dyeing.
