ENSAIT, the national school of textile arts and industries in Roubaix, is a textile engineering school that has been part of the Université de Lille since 2022. Its three-year engineering degree, taken full-time or as an apprenticeship, covers textile structures, processes and materials, with a track in fashion and clothing production (electives include luxury fashion and quality in fashion) and a track in technical textiles; students can also follow a parallel DSAA in textile, clothing and trend design with ESAAT Roubaix. The school also runs a specialised master's in innovation and product development in fashion. Its history goes back to the École nationale d'arts industriels created by law in 1881, renamed ENSAIT in 1921.
