The ésaat is a public school of design and applied arts at 539 avenue des Nations Unies in Roubaix, one of the national education system's higher schools of applied arts, with a STD2A baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate courses in design and animation. In textiles it offers a DN MADe in textile materials design (textile drawing and pattern) and a DSAA in design and foresight for textiles, clothing and trends, which puts students in contact with traditional crafts and companies of the Hauts-de-France region; in object design it offers a DN MADe and a DSAA on environmental and social strategies, from research to prototype. The school says it moved into its current building in 1991 and descends from the École nationale des arts industriels founded a century earlier.
