ESAD, the Escola Superior de Artes e Design, is a private higher education school in Matosinhos, near Porto, specialising in design and digital arts. It offers bachelor's degrees in fashion design, product design, interior design, communication design and digital arts and multimedia, as well as master's, postgraduate and short courses. The school held its first year of activity in 1989, runs the research unit esad—idea and has organised the Porto Design Biennale since 2019.
