In short

The Escola Municipal d'Art i Disseny de Terrassa is a municipal school of art and design housed in the Vapor Universitari building on Terrassa's university campus; it was inaugurated on 2 November 1886 as the Escola Municipal d'Arts i Oficis to train technicians for the local textile industry and workers in the craft trades. Today it offers official higher vocational programmes in graphic design, spatial design and entertainment arts, and its own art workshops, among them artistic cabinetmaking (carving, turning, marquetry and furniture restoration), the making of stringed instruments and ceramics.
