In short

The Escola Superior de Conservación e Restauración de Bens Culturais de Galicia is an official higher education centre of the Galician government in Pontevedra, created by decree in 1991, which shares a building with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Vigo. It awards the degree in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, equivalent to a university degree, in three specialisms: archaeology (ceramics, glass, stone, metals and organic materials), sculpture (polychrome wood, stone and other materials) and painting (canvas, panel, mural painting and contemporary art), with practical work in the school and external placements.
